Credentials Chief Instructor, Mr Steven Tan Kim Hoon  - Fin Weight Champion in the National Taekwondo Championship, 1979.
- Fin Weight 2nd Runner-up in the inaugural CISM Taekwondo Championship held In Seoul, South Korea.
- 4th Dan Black Belt (since Jan 1987).
- National Coach of Singapore (1987 - 1990).
- Full time Taekwondo instructor for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), 1978 - 1985.
- Assistant Chief Instructor of the SAF, 1984 - 1985.
- Unarmed Combat Instructor for SAF.
- Examiner for the SAF, 1980 - 1985.
- Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) First Class National Referee.
- STF examiner (since 1985 to current).
- Involved in the planning of the Taekwondo syllabus for the SAF.
In addition to the above, Steven has more recently conducted numerous taekwondo training sessions with the SAF, the Police force, various Community Centres, public and private academic institutions in Singapore as well as the New Zealand Army. He is the judge for the Police Inter-Division Self Defence Tactics Championship and was also involved in running a series of Unarmed Combat courses for the black belt holders from the STF.
